• Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) will replace Guy Pearce (The Rover) in the upcoming Whitey Bulger biopic starring Johnny Depp (Transcendence). According to Cross Creek Pictures president Brian Oliver, Pearce dropped out of the upcoming crime drama, which has already started filming in Boston, due to scheduling conflicts. Royal developed a special bond with Steinmark, a promising player whose career was cut shot by a cancerous tumor that took his leg. Steinmark coached the team's freshman defense and became an inspiration to cancer sufferers before the cancer took his life. [Source: Deadline]
