A Kansas City nu-metal band named Dirty Machine has unveiled a music video for their song “Ego Killer” featuring a Taylor Swift impersonator — just in time for the Super Bowl.
Frontman and Kansas City Chiefs fan David Leach told Fox Sports that the backlash against both the football team and tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with Swift inspired the song and music video.
“I could see it [early on in the season], the team was going to come back, prove everyone wrong, and you were going to have Taylor Swift doing her thing and rocking up at the Super Bowl,” said Leach.
He added, “The Chiefs are the villains now; everyone is against us. We are in our Darth Vader stage, they hate us. Having Taylor Swift involved and be part of this great story just makes the haters even angrier. Our song ‘Ego Killer,’ that’s us talking to the football world and all the doubters.

Long before Robin Green was an Emmy-winning writer and producer for The Sopranos, she was a young post-grad living in Berkeley, California. In 1971, she got a job interview with Jann Wenner, co-founder of an upstart magazine called Rolling Stone. She thought she was interviewing for a clerical position; instead, she walked out with an assignment — to write about Marvel Comics, where she had worked for Stan Lee himself — and soon became the only female writer on the Rolling Stone masthead. The next few years would include some great stories, some bad acid trips,...
