Nashville – I recently had the extraordinary opportunity to attend a performance at The Listening Room Cafe, where I was treated to an unforgettable evening featuring the “Next from Nashville” lineup. The showcase was nothing short of exceptional. Amidst this lineup of talent, one performer truly stood out to me … Zandi Holup.
Zandi Holup and the other performers had acoustic guitars in hand and standing microphones as their sole companions, inviting the audience into their world of music with nothing but their instruments and voices, bridging the gap between performer and listener. All the performers sang original music, effortlessly captivating the audience with soul-stirring melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Zandi’s profoundly felt vocals carried an aura of authenticity that immediately drew me in. With a style characterized by raw, unfiltered storytelling, Zandi’s music seemed to flow effortlessly from a deep well of personal emotion and introspective thoughts.

Toronto – The Canadian metal band “Living Dead Girl” has a style that is a unique combination of Marilyn Manson meets (fellow Canadian front woman) Avril Lavigne, with an amalgam of genres including goth, rock, metal, industrial, pop and punk rock. The band will present a Virtual Christmas Show on December 12th, 2020.
Formed in 2017, Living Dead Girl has previously released three independent singles and is now set to release a full-length album, “Exorcism,” produced by Mitchell Marlow. The band is fronted by 21-year-old Molly Rennick, whose amazing vocal range has her seamlessly switching from taunting high-pitched croons, to harsh menacing barks, to haunting growls with relative ease.
On the 11 banging tracks on “Exorcism,” Rennick channels her inner goth-girl-gone-bad attitude. Songs include the raging, down-tuned riffs of the title track and “Worship Me.” The infectious “Villain” has a singalong chorus, and the enticing, taunting melodies of “Beautiful” and “Alive” has Rennick commanding your full attention.

West Chicago, Ill. – The Wc Social Club hosted emerging Indie Rock performers Each Day for a much needed night of live music and liquid refreshments. The talented and versatile band consists of Taylor Oechsel, Christopher Marszalek Nick Stubblefield (lead guitar) and Mia Stubblefield (vocals).
Taylor is an engaging and talented singer who commands the stage and connects emotionally with the audience through her lyrics, mannerisms and enchanting voice. On drums, Christopher’s infectious energy, upbeat attitude and obvious love of performing live reminds this concert reviewer of a drummer from a different genre, Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe. Mia’s stoic presence and pristine voice complimented Taylor’s voice perfectly as they harmonized with Nick’s skilled guitar playing.
