I watched this on Nick-At-Night back in the eighties and what a ripoff. Most of their "best" episodes came from situations that occurred on the "I Love Lucy" show first.
Jim Bacus(Gilligan Island) was alright as the husband, but he was basically there to say "Oh Joan you've done it again". Joan Davis was a comedic star from B films. When Television started to get big, radio and films stars flocked to the airwaves to make their fortunes. Ms Davis was no exception. She tried to jump into Lucille Ball's shoes but couldn't. She wasn't funny, just goofy. The most of her shows were based on past Lucy antics. Nothing original!! I don't know how she stayed on TV as long as she did.
