Review of Airport '77

Airport '77 (1977)
Airport Part Three
20 May 2004
Of the 3 Sequels, this is the best. James Stewart is Philip Stevens, a wealthy man who likes expensive toys. He commissioned a luxury 747 to be built called "Stevens 747."

The inside of the plane resembles a cruise ship and this movie shows why the FAA should never approve one. The plane is hijacked by traitorous CO pilot and two of the stewards. It appears that the CO pilot did not know how to fly this plane because the plane's wing hits a tower and crashes in the Bermuda Triangle.

This film gets a boost from Jack Lemon as well as Christopher Lee. He is the dedicated caption. The plane is below water and they need to get out before the oxygen runs out.

Can the Navy gets these people out in time? See film to find out. There's one note I like to add here: The outfit that the little boy "Benjy" wears in this film is fantastic! Edith Head deserves a little credit for the success of this film because all the costumes are fantastic!
