I think that Paris, Texas is an absolute gem. This film plays on many levels, and relies on one's imagination to fill in pictures while listening to the dialogue. Harry Dean Stanton and Nastassja Kinski are just mesmerizing together in the second half of the film. I've about worn out the VHS tape that I taped off of the Movie Channel. Hat's off to Sam Shepard! What a writer!
