Heart sickness brings back a better Dave!
13 September 2001
Since the first time I saw Dave, I've roared with laughter ever since. This humor he provides, goofballcraaazy humor, is so much superior than Leno's. His is cruel and often involves the sexhumor that I guess brings the young people to watch him. Still I am pretty young, and prefers Dave. He is so much more personal and warm than Leno. Usually Dave almost neglects the standup comic that starts the show, goes to his chair and starts to tell us something very weird, like the time he complained about his Laurence of Arabia DVD was gave all the actors blue faces. This, he was quite upset about and ravaged about it for an entire week. Still, the old Dave was even better. I remember, only a couple of years ago, he suddenly, in the middle of the show he thought that his chair was broken and stumbled out on New Yorks streets with the chair to get it fixed. Pure crazy genious. Dave's recent heart surgery has improved his quality but I miss the times when Dave would drive around with Zsa Zsa Gabour or insult customers in McDonalds. Give us back your lunacy, Dave.
