The Innocent (1994 TV Movie)
7/10
An autistic boy holds the key to identifying two brutal killers.

This is not a bad movie as I've read in reviews. True, a lot of time is used up on Kelsey Grammer's "suffering" and the kid's level of autism -- and that is boring. But the really interesting parts of the movie happen between the two psycho-baddies. These guys aren't just bad or "hollywood crazy." They are mental. Tinsley (Jeff Kober) is totally dependent on his partner for direction ... even though he is petulant about being controlled. And his partner is uncompromisingly intent on having it all his way. One other interesting overtone ... I could be wrong, but I get a sense of an implied sexual relationship between them. Oooh, interesting power games. I like this movie because of these two. Unfortunately, not enough time is given over to their character development. Whatever, they did a great job with what they were given.
