When Innocence Is Lost (1997 TV Movie)
Terrific performance by Keri Russell.

Warning: Spoilers
I've always thought that the majority of television movies are better than "the big screen" films. And after seeing this movie, I could not believe how little recognition it got. Not only is it a great family flick but it has a great cast and plot. I had read about it in TV Guide and so I checked it out. It's a good thing that I recorded it because I never saw it come on again. (It aired on Lifetime, which in my opinion has the greatest movies.) *may contain spoiler*

Keri Russell plays the part of Erica French who is dealing with a custody battle with her high school sweetheart. After the father sees the child he immediately wants to be part of her life. The only problem is that he had nothing to do with her (Molly) and Erica for the first year after she was born. And while dealing with college life and living on her own, she still has to take care of Molly (putting her in day care, supporting her on her own basically.)

Anyway, the cast gave an excellent performance, and I thought that the story itself was great. It just needs to be shown more often.
