This French movie features the famous Belgian singer Jacques Brel as a French cavalry officer who, after having been dishonorably discharged from the service, lands a job as a riding instructor in a aristocratic French lady's château. The château's occupants (the lady of the manor, her daughter, her maid, her son) are mesmerized by this mysterious equestrian, intimidating in his uniform and tall, gleaming riding boots. The château's occupants are all too happy to get more intimately acquainted with their riding instructor...
