a Joey Travolta's comedy
16 April 1999
Travolta (the brother of John) made his debut in SUNNYSIDE, but nothing really happen to his career. So he is trying to make a name for himself in low-budget films and now directing. This is one of his films, and it's a comedy about a lounge singer who wants to borrow money so he can bring his cousins from Jersey over to see him perform in Las Vegas. Well, Joey is framed for murder and now it's up to his cousins (one of them played by David "Nunzio" Proval) and a detective (Jeff Conaway) to find out who set him up. The film has italian jokes, an Elvis acting cop, and Joey singing with model Kelly Emberg (who plays his girlfriend in the film). Even John Landis has a cameo in the film. The film is not a big film, but a little film with a feel of a lot of effort was made to put it together. I hate to pick on small films, but the film needs to be trimmed a bit for it got boring near the end. I can't recommend it, but it's not a bad little film. See it if you like Joey!
