Yeah. That's right. I said it. It is better than the original. I enjoyed this film. Martin made me laugh my ass off, especially in the scene where he is high on ecstacy.
The only thing I did not like about the film were the matrix-style special effects. They weren't really necessary. I know that Michael Bay is on an all time high after his success with Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, but come on man--know when the quit.
Anyway, the rest of the film was good. Even the villain had his funny moments. I know a lot of critics have given this film bad reviews, but then again they liked the 1996 movie Emma-now that would drive any sane person to suicide. Oh, and I usually agree with Ebert and Roeper on their choices for best and worst films, but not this time. If they ever read any of these user comments, I'd like to tell them that I really liked Bad Boys 2, and that I own the DVD. I watch it frequently. I might even get a t-shirt made saying that I am the proud owner of the Bad Boys 2 DVD-j/k, but there you go.
If you're a fan of Martin and Will, then this is the movie for you. If not, then go buy some Nsync video or something.
