Disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
Was anyone else totally disgusted with the way this series ended? I couldn't believe the writer killed Kenny off! It's almost as if he didn't know what else to do with Kenny, so he thought, "Well, let's take the easy way out and kill him." It was such a cop-out and so blatantly unnecessary that I will never again watch the series nor will I recommend it to anyone.

I wanted to shake some sense into Abby's thick head. The woman was pining for the man of her dreams (Alistair??) when the best partner she could ever hope to find was right there with her. Kenny's rapport with Alfie and Charlie was rare and precious. Yes I know nobody made Kenny stay with Abby and the kids. But Abby would've done better keeping her eyes open to reality. Robbie should never have entered the picture again.

Unfortunately, the ending ruined all the other wonderful qualities of the show - especially the actors who played the islanders, from know-it-all-Douglas (who had a kind heart though), to the exasperating Gordon (who was tamed by, of all people, Marjorie!), from lovely Mary, to Alfie, one of the nicest child actors I've ever seen. He was so believable and so vulnerable.

I'm glad there's not a 4th season. The show without Kenny, and Kenny interacting with Alfie and Charlie, is not a show worth watching.
