The first half of "Naked Weapon", involving the girls' training on the island, is a shameful exercise in sadism, but is carried along by sheer energy, style and intensity. When the girls are allowed to show their own martial-arts skills, the results are often impressive. This part is worth **1/2 stars out of 4. In the second half, the filmmakers forgot to actually include a story, or maybe they just thought we wouldn't notice its absence. The action/fight sequences get more and more ludicrous, cheesily ripping off "The Matrix", and the "romance" between Daniel Wu and Maggie Q (who tries to make her character sympathetic, but can't) is simply groanable. This part gets only *1/2 out of 4.
