Creepshow (1982)
A great Stephen King and George Romero film.

Creepshow is a great film with 5 awesome tales of horror,great cast,great special effects,and great makeup effects by Tom Savini,who plays one of the garbage men at the end of the film and played "The Creep"in Creepshow 2.

The movie stars out as a father named Stan,played great by Tom Atkins(Halloween III,Night Of The Creeps,and Lethal Weapon),who is yelling at his son,Billy,played by Stepthen King's son Joe King,who has a horror comic book.Stan doesn't want Billy to have something like that,Stan throws it away.Billy is angry,but has a smile on his face when he sees "The Creep".

"Father's Day"is a great tale about a mean,rich man named Nathan Grantham,played by Jon Lormer,who wants his Fathers Day cake.Bedelia,Nathan's daughter,was treated like crap all those years by her father,Nathan Grantham has Bedelia's boyfriend murdered,making it look like a hunting accident.One Father's day,Nathan Grantham is crying "WHERE'S MY CAKE!!",Bedelia snaps and bashes her father's head in with a marble ashtray.The Grantham family,led by Aunt Sylvia,played by Carrie Nye,have dinner on Father's Day,with Richard Grantham,played by Warner Shook,Cass Blaine,played by Elizabeth Regan,and her husband,Hank Blaine,played by Ed Harris(The Right Stuff,The Abyss,and China Moon).Bedelia comes for dinner,she goes to visit her father's grave,and sits,but Nathan Grantham comes out of his grave and wants his cake,he strangles her.The night gets more bloody,Hank goes out to the graveyard,he trips and falls,a gravestone falls on his head and is crushed.Nathan is the cause of it,he is on his way to the mansion for his cake.Sylvia goes to look for Hank and goes to the kitchen to find their maid,Mrs. Danvers dead and sees Nathan's decaying corpse and says"I WANT MY CAKE!!"and snaps her head around.An hour later,Cass and Richard go to look for Sylvia and Hank,they end up in the kitchen and see Nathan Grantham with Sylvia's head on a platter,,lol,,literally,,Nathan Grantham says"It's Fathers Day,I got my cake,HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!" A great tale,the late Viveca Lindfors(Stargate)plays Aunt Bedelia superbly.

"The Lonesome Death Of Jordy Verrill"is about a hick who has not so great luck.Jordy,played awesomely by Stephen King, sees a meteor land on his property,Jordy gets and idea to take it to the nearby college to get money for it.Jordy touches the meteor and gets burned,he pours water on it to cool it off,it splits in half,Jordy realized he messed up and calls himself a "Lunkhead".Jordy decides to glue it in the morning.Later on Jordy starts to go through a change,literally,cause of touching the meteor,he can't stop it and is forced to make a drastic decision by killing himself,Jordy hopes his luck will be in once,he dies alone.

"Something To Tide You Over"is a tale about a man named Harry Wentworth,played by Ted Danson(Cheers,Becker,and Three Men And A Baby),is seeing a lady named Becky,she is the wife of a control freak named Richard Vickers,played greatly by Leslie Nielson(The Naked Gun films),who owns the beach nearby,which Richard calls "Comfort Point".Richard takes Harry to the beach where Becky is and sees only a hole.Richard makes Harry jump into the hole and buries Harry up to his neck in sand.Richard brings a TV and VCR,he shows Harry what has happened to Becky,she is buried in sand just like Harry is and is dealing with the tide.Richard is recording all what is happening to Becky and Harry.Richard leaves and the tide comes in and Harry is in trouble and drowns.Later on,Richard does think everything is OK,but Harry and Becky show up and are zombies,they have Richard come to the beach and Richard gets a taste of his own medicine.

"The Crate is an awesome tale.Mike The Janitor,played by veteran actor Don Keefer,drops a coin and rolls underneath the stairs and sees a crate,it says "Arctic Expedition 1834".Professor Dexter Stanley,played by Fritz Weaver,and his friend Henry Northrup,played great by Hal Holbrook(Magnum Force,The Star Chamber and Wall Street),have to put up with the nagging Wilma,a.k.a. Billie,played superbly by Adrienne Barbeau(Escape From New York,The Fog,and Two Evil Eyes),Henry daydreams about whacking his wife.Dexter gets a call from Mike the Janitor about the crate,Dexter goes over to Amberson Hall at the college to see the crate,they open it up,Mike sticks is hands in the crate and gets bit by a tasmanian devil like creature inside the crate,Mike is dead,Dexter is freaked out and runs up the stairs.Charlie Gereson,played by Robert Harper(Twins),sees Dexter freaked out,he tells Charlie about the crate.Charlie thinks he is on a toot,but goes down to see it.Charlie at first thinks it is Dexter who did it,but sees the crate underneath the stairs,Charlie sees a shoe,wants to measure the bite marks.Standing behind him is the creature,Charlie tries to get away,but the creature grabs him and takes a bite,Charlie dies,becomes the creature's next meal.Dexter goes over to Henry's home,tells him about the crate.Henry goes over to Amberson Hall after drugging Dexter.he has plans to off his wife,leaves her a note at home,she comes out and he deals with her,takes the crate to "Ryders Quarry" to dump the crate.Henry and Dexter play their usual game of Chess.Things are great for the 2.At The bottom of the quarry,the creature gets out of the crate.

"They're Creeping Up On You"is a super tale about a mean rich tycoon named Upson Pratt,played great by the late E.G. Marshall(The Defendants and Superman II),who hates bugs.Upson Pratt is a heartless man who lives in a pent house that gets invaded by a zillion cockroaches and really bug the crap out of him,,,lol,no pun intended.The final showdown between Upson Pratt and the cockroaches come to a close,Upson Pratt is bugged,,lol,,literally.

The ending is where where the pick up where the left off from the beginning.Two garbage men find Billy's "Creepshow"magazine and they both like it,they see stuff you can buy from the book.Stan and his wife have breakfast,Stan is having pain,it is caused by Billy with a voodoo doll,which Billy purchased from the "Creepshow"magazine,teaching his dad not to throw away his comic books.

I give this movie two thumbs up and 10/10 stars.
