A look at the history and present condition of the Salton Sea.
30 April 2005
The film managed to capture the haunting, ghost town, nature of the Salton Sea area and explore the sadness, frustration, and dreams that surround it. The vignettes into the survivors are insightful and revealing. From the residents who live in the past to the the less than conventional; the exposure of their persona's is insightfully done. The use of 40's and 50's era promotional material dealing with the development of the area helps brings the magnitude of the loss into perspective.

The inability of Government to develop a solution to this man–made ecological disaster is presented clearly.

The film holds on to you from beginning to end. The choice and use of music helps tell the story and All in all, a masterful production.
