I loved this movie! As a fan of Sherlock Holmes, I am all too aware of the disheartening ways poor Watson has been treated, cruelly manipulated by director after director, time and time again! In one of the very first Sherlock Holmes movies, Watson was not even mentioned, never mind that he failed to appear! Therefore I was very pleased to see the newest rendition of the faithful sidekick. No longer is he treated as a wishy-washy oaf, a bumbling fool who on finding a clue would surely step in it! No, he has a mind of his own, a hidden loyalty shadowed by his own personality! Marvelous! And Holmes! What a spectacular job! I am inclined only to point out a small inconsistency: Holmes never used drugs on a case. He used cocaine, the 7% solution, only when forced due to his restless and bored mind.
Overall, this movie was mind blowing. I loved it, and it is by far my favorite Hound movie!
