L'odyssée de l'espèce (2003 TV Movie)
8/10
The (probable) origin of species.

I was pretty amused that my father is more anxious about watching this more than I do when it first aired here last year and also with English dubbing as well, given the original language is in French. Anyhow, religion may have told us how human beings are created, but for those who want to believe we actually evolve from the apes because of scientific researches, this will show you how we really came about and evolve through the years.

Especially in my father's case, maybe this is one of those documentaries he so knows he have to watch given he does not watch stuff like this much often. When the both of us were watching, it really blew my mind away about so many things that we do today. Survival of the fittest...this is not new nowadays. Since the beginning of time, it has happened to our ancestors.

It's also pretty amazing to see how our most earliest ancestors discovered so many things which led to the various technologies in life now. It's actually kind of surreal to watch all these being played out on screen. Many a times I was gasping as I watched. This proves the point. It blows my mind away at times.

Though it may sound ambitious to present a show about life many millions of years ago, it's a pretty alright attempt from me. I found it not that bad at all.
