OK, I saw this movie last night, and I really liked it, first of all the Mia Farrow performance as the nanny from hell was spectacular (plese don't be upset, but it reminded me Louise Fletcher from "One flew over the cuckoo's nest"), she dark, evil but also tender and protective. The scene where Damian kills his mother and his smile at the end of the movie, didn't took my breath, but the dream sequences were pretty scary, the deaths cold, you literally freeze when the nanny kills Damon's mother. I also liked that the movie is full of intentionality, the bathroom scene with Julia, we see a cross backwards, and six windows, three on the right, three on the left...anyway it was a good summer movie, it has some weak points, for example for being a remake the storyline should have been more original, at the end a grown up Damien knowing that the new Savior is coming to end with his reign or something like that, also the music not so good as the first one, but don't trash it, it was good...not great just good
