4/10
defending the indefense

Manolo y Benito Corporeision hasn't been a success at all. That's obvious.

To a foreigner, even for people who speak fluent Spanish, this series will look bizarre and senseless.

But those producers you talked about before DO know who their targeting audience is: Spanish people, and among them, the 3/4 million people who used to watch in 2000 "Manos a la obra", the "prequel", which was, undoubtedly, one of the greatest achievements of the channel, Antena 3, by that time.

The problem is that the previous scriptwriter, Escrivá, died years ago. He was the only one who knew how to make fun of the Spanish cliché of the lazy worker and created new characters with stupid situations which were not important, neither were their jokes... their success consisted in being tuned with part of the audience.

Those ingredients got every thursday 30% of share.

This sencond part of the series hasn't been so good, even those who enjoyed the first part can recognize it. But...

I'd like to know which kind of computer technician's humor or more standard TV series like "friends" is objectively better and why.

-"Do you like "Friends"? - Oh my god! - as Janice would say - I love 'em!!

*Comments: This conversation may have been repeated along the globe billions of times. It's so boring to share such a common thing... "Are you from planet Earth? Are you kiddng me? What the hell! ME TOO!!! - you might be my better half...¿? In comparison to me, for example, I love it when 5 people out of 7 hate what Iike (Manolo y Benito) and then I can laugh with the rest of them with a strange and unexplicable complicity.
