Review of Transmorphers

Transmorphers (2007 Video)
10/10
This movie isn't simply about robots that can morph into other other shapes!
26 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is drawn directly from some long-lost Shakespearian masterpiece. There is no reason to confuse it with some other copy-cat movie with a similar title (I refuse to name the impostor).

Everything about this movie is unique and original, although there will certainly be those who compare certain scenes of this piece of art with such garbage as "The Matrix" or Plato's "The Republic". DO NOT BELIEVE THESE NAYSAYERS! This is a futuristic tragedy set in 2009 (spoiler: later in this movie this becomes "hundreds of years") about shape-changing robots (or Z-bots) who try to take over the human way of life. Foolish robots. These robots obviously do not understand the determination and resolve that these humans have to offer. There is infighting, for sure, but this mish-mash of surviving humans work through all of their differences in the end to overcome a common enemy. Never before has such a struggle been committed to film.

In a major twist incomprehensible before this movie, one of the main characters actually turns out to be a robot! The enemy! I apologize for so many spoilers in one post, but I simply cannot contain my surprise at this revelation.

The laser battles in the rain are simply the most advanced CGI (models? actual robot fighters?) you've never seen. You are brought directly into the battles and actually care when a friendly fighter takes a shot.

I'm not going to give the end away, but this is a must-see for any fan of giant trans-morphing robot films.
