A Big Waste

I had some high expectations for this one; I should've known better. As John H. is credited as assistant director, I would have thought he could draw on his enormous experience doing these sorts of scenes and give us something worthwhile.

In fact, whatever scenes the cameraman didn't kill, the editor did.

Even the John-and-Ginger romp, which is the best of the lot, is sub-par by most standards, even though Ginger demonstrated amazing internal capacity.

Considering this was apparently an attempt to produce a semi-serious film, the plot is barely discernible and the acting is totally wooden.

If you're looking for a good vehicle for Mr. Holmes' talents, this isn't one of them.
