100 Million BC (2008 Video)

Silly fun romp with familiar faces and hot guys
2 September 2008
Warning: Spoilers
The feeder bands of hurricane Gustav released a torrent rain on southwest Florida over the weekend, so it was a b-grade movie weekend!! Starting off with my new favorite bad b-grader 100 Million BC. The faces, both new and old, kept my interest.

Chris Atkins of "I got nekked in Blue Lagoon" fame now all grown up to a handsome middle aged dude. Doug McClure anyone? Come on those AI 1970s rich releases, "The Land that Time forget", "At the Earth's Core" et. al.

Also starring Michael Gross (Termors) and a bunch of hottie army boys who were nothing more than dino fodder. Main stud Greg Evigan bites it way too early (And gee only one army guy lives but at least he was the cute one).

The skinny: Goofy time travel tale loosely tied in with the Philadelphia Experiment storyline. Prof has to sent his baby brother back in time to avert disaster and it takes 50 years to get his brother back and set things right.

I loved it. It was silly and fun.

Two things however.

1. When Gross goes back in time to save his brother Atkins (from the 50s) His brother and the rest of the castaways behave in a very modern 21st century way . . nothing like folks from the 1950s, especially for a scientist and his nerdy brethren. I must ask: was that Atkin's wife cause he was all over her . . . her character.

2. The worst dino effects ever. When the Rex would roar I busted a gut laughing. His mouth would shoot open like a pop-up book. I love it!!!

Who cares, it rained, I watched, I laughed!
