I used to adore this movie when I was a child. This story is a little girls dream. A beautiful leading character, a beautiful and sweet prince, about everything is beautiful. It truly is a Cinderella story with the nice feature of beautiful ice-skating, nice music and lots and lots of romance. Sometimes it might be a little over the top, but this truly is the way to make it very much fairy tale-like. The whole setting of the ice, the landscape and the fast that ice is almost always makes it like it is a theater show that is filmed, but it also has very movie-like elements. The clothing and the interaction of Ella with the children makes it a little like the musical Annie. Which isn't my taste.
