Good, But Not Great!

Warning: Spoilers
I will start this review saying that I am a generous reviewer. I like movies more than most people including box office flops like this film. With the review I am about to write, most people will think that I gave this film 5 stars max. This is not a bad movie, but I was somewhat disappointed about the results.

This film stars hit-man Vin Diesel as a mercenary who is assigned to smuggle a girl with super powers and her Chinese nun from Russia to New York City. They have to avoid war-ridden lands and extreme technology.

The acting is very good. I always see Vin Diesel as a great actor when he performs in movies like this. Charlotte Rampling is the only person I did not like. She was stony-faced the entire movie. The action/sci-fi is great. There are neat explosions and war throughout this movie.

The plot is confusing. Why did the girl who Diesel was protecting shoot him? Rampling's character did not appear until 30 minutes into the film. I heard in Europe that this movie is over 2 and a half hours long while the director's cut is only 101 minutes.

The reason behind this is because Fox and the director had rifts over this film. I think that Fox are morons because they ruined a potential great movie. I rate this film 7/10.
