Ah! My Goddess: The Movie (2000)

one of my favorite anime, and even favorite movies in general

I got chills several times watching this movie, and I wasn't disappointed the second time. Visually, this movie is a delight, though be warned that it shows a fair amount skin. Of course the goddesses have gorgeous figures, but some scenes feature barely-decent nudity. As another commenter stated, the music is appropriate. I love that the villains aren't the evil stereotype. It makes Belldandy's decisions more meaningful since the issues aren't black and white. Not everything made sense (some seems downright absurd) but it was fun reading up on Norse mythology afterward, and now I want to check out the manga that the movie stemmed from. Another of my favorite anime films is Castle in the Sky, which also features clean, sweet love and bad guys that aren't evil. I hope to put Ah My Goddess! beside Castle in the Sky on my shelf soon.
