This movie was a total waste of time for me. I only watched out of curiosity to see how many product placements Walmart put in the flick and how goofy the dysfunctional family could be.
The amount of Walmart food products, milk, cereal, tote bags, etc., labeled prominently with the Great Value brand label was amazing, especially in the beginning. (Walmart was the commercial sponsor for the TV airing when I saw this.) Notice the Walmart tote bag displayed in one of the beginning scenes?
The constantly bickering dysfunctional family was not a good role model for the teens who might enjoy this movie. And then a sudden break- through to family happiness and togetherness at the end! Give me a break! How realistic is that! Not to mention the improbable storyline about Aztec hidden treasure, and even a pyramid in the mountain. The overly melodramatic music background also was a distraction to enjoying this one.
