The Schlepped Piano.
22 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Stan and Ollie are hired to deliver a piano to the address of the well-to-do and haughty Billy Gilbert. They ask a mailman where the house is and he points to a mansion poised at the top of what seems to be a half mile of steps. (They're still there.) The work is maddeningly difficult, hoisting this stone-heavy crate up, one step at a time. There are angry encounters with Gilbert himself -- who has no idea the piano is being delivered to him as a gift from his wife -- and with a policeman and a nanny.

The piano is finally settled in the living room but the house is half wrecked by this time. Gilbert enters and erupts volcanically because he hates pianos and doesn't want it in his home. He destroys the thing.

There's not much to the plot. There rarely is. But if you don't find this short pretty funny, you might as well skip all the rest.
