4/10
9+1 = a yard too far
26 November 2010
The Whole Nine Yards was a strong film that had good performances from Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis so it is not a great shock that this sequel followed in 2004. What is a shock though is that this film failed to make a dent in the box office.

The whole concept of this film is good but yet it doesn't feel like it is being played with the same conviction that the first film was. All the elements are there it just feels that all the various comedic mishaps are being nailed on to a very weak plot and in the end it all becomes a little too far-fetched and not entertaining.

Perry and Willis are good at reprising their roles but even they cannot save this film. There just appears to be something missing and as the film drags on you begin to realise that the cast know this too. There are good moments and lines but all in all these various factors don't come together well enough to make The Whole Ten Yards a hit.
