Review of It

It (1927)
7/10
"It" 1927
6 April 2012
Clara Bow has "it"... that natural beauty and style that is destined to make a man fall for her. Though some of the issues of class and "respectability" have changed over the years, "It" follows the same familiar formula that romantic comedies still follow today. What won over audiences in 1927 and will still win them over today is Clara Bow. Of the great starlets of the silent era, Clara was the most charming. Fans of the 2012 Oscar winner "The Artist" will likely recognize Clara Bow as the main influence of Berenice Bejo's Peppy Miller. "It" is a nice piece of easy entertainment that is still enjoyable in today's era of sound and color.
