I have to admit, I wasn't expecting the 3 Musketeers meets Will Smith's Wild Wild West. Odd use of steam punk technology.
Anyhoo...I missed this in the theaters and I am glad I did. What a wimpy, poorly acted piece of garbage. Makes me sad for the cast, as most of them have done far better work in other movies.
The plot lacked the right balance. Not enough humor, not enough pathos. Athos was not very moody. Porthos more arrogant than cocky and self confident. Aramis...he was almost a throw away in this movie and the best thing I can say about D'artagnan is he was better than Chris O'Donnell in the 1993 version. Milady is transformed from sly, dangerous seductress to a stealthy ninja in fancy dress.
Blech. Not even worth having on as back ground noise.
