African Cats (2010)
9/10
The Reality in the Wild
2 October 2012
For those who have been on safari and not just any safari but one to the Mara National Game Reserve during the migration season can relate to this movie. Crossing the river has its dangers as I have seen first hand as animals drown and others shredded by the crocodiles. I believe that the film should have come with a strong warning as some viewers perceived the animals to be cute and cuddly like their household pets. The animals of the Mara are wild so do stick to rules and regulations of the park whilst on safari.

This film is an upgrade of 'Born Free' as the wild animals are reared with no human contact- just as nature intended. Hence viewers can appreciate the hardships faced by African cats as they grow and roam the wild, unlike the lazy domestic cat that snuggles up to you as it awaits for another can of 'Felix' on its plate.
