Dexter: Are We There Yet? (2013)
Season 8, Episode 8

Do not dude me!
19 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
The encounters alone in this episode... Deb with the old crew on a crime scene, Dex and Hannah and Deb and… Zach in a motel room, only to move the party to Dr. Vogel's for supper without Deb, though. Masuka's daughter getting Matthews' attention, and 'my name is Harrison' to Quinn.

Good episode, in fact it flew by, which is a good thing! I believe it got extra points for the more-than-usual nudity, which, by the way, was a very strong scene!

Another very strong interaction was the one with Deb and Hannah at the motel room. I don't think I've ever seen them talk so much to each other. I like Hannah (maybe more than Deb) but Debra is a much older character, and I know where her heart is better than I do Hannah's. This, in regards to their conversation, is for a lot of respect to the emotional depth and integrity of Deb's, who's finding herself after all. On her way back to the Miami Metro PD... and what about Elway now? Poor guy! Deb is going to repel a siege now by Quinn and his tan.

I did not like Zach to begin with, but he actually was OK on this one. Of course there was a reason why the directors made him more likable, and it worked. I did say 'oh no' when half of his head was missing at the end.

All in all the episode set us up for the anticipated storm ahead. I was never sure about Vogel as to her motives, and I really want to see Dexter vet her... unless it is another teaser! Anyhow Dr. Vogel would be an easy loss to cut, and a very... unwealthy plot! She shows up like a ghost after what feels like forever to end everything?! I hope that's not the case!

Have a good one!
