I obey God's will, my friend, my old friend, my eternal and everlasting friend...

As British horror was making it's move to Satanic ritual and loads of blood, here come a film about metaphysics and immortality. A film out of it's time, so to speak.

Hugo Cunningham (Robert Stephens) an interest in photography that reveals to him the existence of the Asphyx, a spirit that the Ancient Greeks believed arrived to whisk people away to death. He then continues to work to find a way to cheat death.

Those looking for blood and skin need look elsewhere as this film is sure to disappoint.

Fascinating ending as we often wish for something that turns out to be much different than we expected.
