It could have done with a wittier script and a more complex plot. I couldn't watch the section where Prebble tries to seduce Norah. The man's a rapist, not a "wolf". Everyone is OK in their roles, but Ann Sothern and Jeff Donnell shine. I'd watch anything with them in. What kept me watching: the details of how the girls live. They share one large room with a small kitchen and bathroom. They put up Murphy beds at night. Not much privacy! They seem to share tasks on a strict rota ("Your turn to clean the bathroom"). Despite clearly not having much money, they dress up in the evening in elaborate cocktail frocks! I also enjoyed seeing the interiors of various diners, gas stations and drug stores.
