I enjoyed this episode. It's not my favorite Halloween episode in the series, but it's a pretty good one. It is one of the only three episodes based on Halloween in the entire series. I don't know why they didn't do a Halloween episode every season. I guess it was either too much or it didn't fit into the current storyline.
In this episode, it's Halloween in Sunnydale and The Magic Box is having a big sale. Anya and Xander tell everyone, finally, that they're getting married. And everyone is really happy. We find out that Giles isn't always cleaning his glasses, he just doesn't want to see what's happening. We find this out when Anya and Xander are kissing. Willow and Buffy through an inpromt-due engagement party. I hope that's how you say it. Inpromt-due, maybe. It wasn't pre-organized, it was in the heat of the moment. There, that's a better way of saying. When Dawn is meant to be staying at a friends house, they sneak out with some older boys. These boys turn out to be vampires. Buffy finds out she's gone and she and Spike go to look for her. When the vampires try to get "toothy" Buffy and Spike show up to save the say. Spike says the funniest thing, "It's Halloween, we take the night off, those are the rules", then the vampire replies, "We don't follow rules. Me and mine are rebels." Spike responds to that with, "No, I'm a rebel, you're an idiot", and then he stakes him. Awesome.
Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10.
