If you have ever wondered how a band goes from the garage to Hammerstein Ballroom this documentary about Twisted Sister is the answer. Good luck, bad luck and a total dedication to a dream of being heavy metal rockers with a recording contract is the essence of this film. The documentary is well worth the ride. Reflective conversation with current and former members of the band, managers, club owners, record producers and fans makes up the majority of the film. This is not a story of wild outrageous drug use and sex that are associated with most rock bands. This is a story about kids with a dream who made it to the top and back to the bottom and not only lived to tell the tale but still perform today with the same enthusiasm and passion as they did at their peak in the 1980's.
