Without compromising the undisputed facts many of us know, certain creative license has been taken and modern dramatization has occurred. Sure, as an avid historian, I was disappointed in the anachronistic language and some factual distortions (particularly the tea party scene). But, how else would you get society in this day and age to sit through a 6 hour history lesson. If you want strict historical accuracy, watch a doc or better still, read a text book (preferably non-revisionist). Perhaps it will inspire the "Twilight"/"Hunger Games" generation to explore the events that led to the greatest "noble experiment." The parallels to today are numerous and the facts are far more compelling. I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it. Judging by some of the other reviews, the worst you could say, it's not for historical purists.
