Fisk is now plagued with a serious problem as his beloved suffers alleged collateral damage. It's still unclear who the target was as each of them has been spoken of with ill intent. Meanwhile, Murdock is slowly recovering and continuing his own investigation, although he finds himself more isolated from his friends as he progresses. Foggy and Karen go on their separate efforts, and they might find the danger is lurking closer than they think.
The fight against Fisk is not the typical superhero versus villain fight. Fisk's colleagues would not team up and engage Daredevil in a gauntlet of death matches, at least not in conventional way. As Fisk rules the criminal enterprise, many are not in agreement with his recent methods. Serendipitously for Daredevil, Fisk is not only fighting him head-on, but also has to deal with the effect of his vigilante endeavor.
Murdock himself realizes after the scuffle of the warehouse that he can't finish Fisk in one go. Ultimately, he tries to go for a lead and chips away Fisk's strength. It may not be completely detrimental to Fisk, but Murdock is steadily getting back to his feet. His companion, on the other hand, must deal with a rising threat just as the three of them are falling apart.
As Fisk's group tries to resolve the crisis, a few new problems arise. Wesley is still a suave yet occasionally aggressive if needs be, while Leland has a rather uneasy reaction to the whole thing. They try to uncover the culprit and also protect Fisk's interest, but unforeseeable things might not go in their way as a great twist awaits one of them.
While the season is closing, one of the characters must face their own demon and hope to come out of the encounter intact.
