'War of the Worlds': Production Diaries, East Coast - Exile (2005)

*** (out of 4)

The second of a four-part series taking a look at the production of WAR OF THE WORLDS. This one here deals with the second half of production on the East Coast and centers on several of the big action scenes including the bridge collapse and the giant battle on the hill. This is certainly quite interesting if you're a fan of films because you really get the idea of what it's like being on the set during a production. There's some terrific footage of Steven Spielberg directing the cast but one of the highlights deals with him giving a pep talk to the extras who are obviously suffering with the cold of the production. Fans of the film or just movies in general should enjoy this.
