The Vampire's Tomb (2013)

Andre Perkowski took Edward D. Wood's unfilmed screenplay "The Vampire's Tomb" and turned it into this low-budget homage. There's really not a whole lot known about the original screenplay, although it was rumored to be a project that Wood intended to have Bela Lugosi star in. The Dr. Acula character would also be a comic point in Tim Burton's ED WOOD.
I read an interview with Perkowski where he said he added about 20% of his own ideas as well as 10% from other Wood movies to come up with this film. I must say that I really didn't enjoy this movie but at the same time I give Perkowski a lot of created because he's at least created something rather creative and I give him a lot of credit for doing that and not just delivering your casual type of horror film.
With that said, I found the film to be extremely boring and there just wasn't much in it that made me want to keep watching it. The performances are a bit bad and I'm really not sure if the over-the- top nature was on purpose to make the film appear more like an Ed Wood movie or what. There's also a Lobo character here with an actor that looks like Tor Johnson. The film was creatively put together but it just didn't have enough for it to keep me entertained.
