It's farewell to Sam Seaborn in this episode, and sadly that means the show parts ways with Rob Lowe, who must surely have known he'd never get material like this again.
I can understand that he was frustrated though, as his characters role had reduced with Josh becoming the break out character, but that didn't make it harder to say farewell, especially as I was never keen on Josh Malina's replacement character.
There is a lovely sweet scene between Sam and Toby before he goes though, and displays all the great qualities of Aaron Sorkin's writing.
