I think I may have had a little too high expectations for this show and a 6 is being very generous...
I really REALLY wanted to love this, but after watching the first season I can only look back and cringe... a lot. The story and plot have so many holes and the writing jumps all over the place leaving so many unanswered questions. Like, why does a character's hair suddenly become totally chopped off in the middle of a fight scene?!?!?! Silly bloopers like this annoy me.
I was a big fan of True Blood and Midnight Texas is, unfortunately, nothing like it. To put it aptly, Midnight Texas is more like some Buffy spin-off with bad costume makeup and acting to match.
I feel like I've been sent back to the 90s!
Regardless, I think this show will be a massive hit with the tweens. It is still enjoyable and you definitely want to find more about some of the characters (e.g. sexy Jason Lewis from SATC playing a gay angel *.*) what more could you want?
