In order... to order!

Let's take a step back.

For four to five years, John Reese and Harold Finch, with the contribution of Lionel Fusco, Joss Carter, Root and -even if just a drop or two- Sameen Shaw, have been playing a game to keep people off of each other's throats.

One can't help but wonder:

Could they leave it to the police, and to the court that people behave in peace?..

Could it be deemed arrogance or excessive mercy that this group of people try their own way instead of the well-placed system that has an authority for all to accept with relative ease?..

Some will shout out loud that the answer is no! while some will say yes, bowing their heads in pain...

Here is my answer:

There were efforts to build this government system as we know it. About 5,000 years ago, the small city-states appeared.

By the third to second millenniums B.C., some of these had developed into larger governed areas: Sumer, Ancient Egypt, the Indus Valley Civilization, and the Yellow River Civilization.

And all of these had the instruments to run / lead the people. The human power, the supplies, the will to act... and on top of it, time...

Unlike today's world... where the minds of the people are open to pretty much anything and everything, and they have vast amount of resourses to act on their new, better and stronger designs... like that of Greer's... which the system of Elias or that of Minic are nothing new but ancient with respect to.

Samaritan wants a closed circuit system by which no human can act nor sin freely... If anyone thinks this is good and will prevent the future wars, let us ask; why is so?.. Who gives who the authority?..

The capability is supposed to make way to all that are extraordinary?.. The capability to access information then act at speed of light... in order to order!

Okay, let's get to the top... Harold's inventing the machine was inevitable if we look at the zeitgeist. One way or the other, the artificial intelligence would exist.

Needless to say, Harold's use of it may seem very humane, too. To interfere with the bad happenings... Well-thought and acted on.

However, this instant, Samaritan teared down the walls. And look what's behind! ----- The idea to leave everthing... to a higher power. That is Samaritan!..

In my understanding that's shaped by the religion of Islam, it is not acceptable to leave things at the hands of another, off the cuff, and without thinking and scrutinizing...

Even the government - which can be founded in many ways as long as there are some principles in its core - must be criticized and hampered... even punished and replaced (in a way that is achieved by the system).

To our regret, there is none to hamper Samaritan... (But Allah, in my faith.)

Oh, my... Oh, why...

We should start caressing the orphans' heads... to deploy love against this evil, evil machine!..

(P.S.: Emptying the streets, and the irrelevance of the government in this episode are the work of Samaritan... Even when we see it not.)
