After growing up and watching all of the James Bond films for the first time on Sunday Nights from ABC TV, I found this special very interesting. It contains many scenes that were edited from the Sunday Movies.
Just pointing this out, as it is airing on the same network, but now contains longer scenes that were trimmed for what ABC thought at the time was unacceptable for younger family viewers. Example: The Man With The Golden Gun scene had the full dialogue from Roger Moore that have been previously edited " I am now aiming this precisely at your groin, so speak now or forever hold your piece".
This is the exact reason why it's worth watching. Wonder if we can point out all of the extra stuff we saw for the very first time that night, way back in 1987?
Can't remember any others off the top of my head, wait....I think it shows a longer version of the train fights in From Russia With Love and Live and Let Die. Also more of the fight between Bond and Odd Job in my personal favorite: Goldfinger.
