What starts out as a promising premise ends up fizzing out into a story dictated by emotionally vulnerable people being manipulated to "experience" a phoney catharsis triggered by some hocus pocus tricks used by religious rehabilitation facilties, exorcists, mediums and mentalists alike. The affects might seem real and lasting for the subjects of the film, but as an objective viewer it seems like nothing more than an exploitation of the vulnerable.
