The pilot seems to be inspired by Tarantino's Pulp Fiction (the relationship amongst the hit men, their lives and humor besides the job, the narrative's time shifts). The tone, as in the movie, is film noirish and filled with wry humor. This is the positive note, but there's something lacking that doesn't just keep up with the expectations, something in the rhythm, in the way information is delivered. I would say the worst is the writing and the best is Carla Gugino. I'm writing this as I'm watching episode 2, so maybe I'll update this personal review afterwards.
