It's decent but slightly infuriating

Warning: Spoilers
The show does some things well. I originally disliked Gemma but by the end, I was sympathetic to her at the very least. Also, it established great chemistry between some characters and had me believing Kash and Maya could actually be something. The characters of Quentin and Mr. Khan (sorry I can't remember his first name) were spectacular. Those two made their respective scenes. The funeral was well done too.

But onto the issues which were kind of glaring. One of the biggest issues is with Duffy. He just doesn't fit the friend group at all and the whole crush on Maya thing felt wrong for what the show was trying to do. Also, the fact that Duffy and maya presumably get together at the end needs to be resolved because it was completely out of left field. Another major issue stems from the wasted potential on the chemistry between Maya and Kash. From the very beginning, the show was pointing towards them getting together being the endgame and then it just puts them with other people. I also don't like how Maya's whole finding a job arc played out. She literally turned her nose up at the old white conservative who was hiring and got herself a job with the young liberal who turned out to be after her for sex only to go back to the conservative and just about demand a job that's already been filled. Worst part? He hires her and then cuts the pay of the original guy in half and gives her the other half. My biggest gripe is the lack of resolution. Gemma is the only character to get any resolution. Craig is left being trashed by Zara on tv, Ainsley just disappears after the funeral, Kash is starting something with Fatima, and Maya and Duffy kiss.

Ultimately, it's pretty good and worth watching. There's just some pretty big things I'd change if I was running it.
