It's nice to see amateur filmmakers pull off this kind of CGI on the big screen. It's not that action sequences were great. Instead they had close up shots of heads with good CGI. Next step is movement and flow to the scenes.
At the end this feels like a collection of slow scenes. There is an overuse of slow motion and the plot never gets into anything deep or interesting. It's a basic premise with an ending that doesn't really reveal anything. The concept is They Live so we know there can be a plot to it. Basically, get these CGI people and create an actual script with a plot and hire a good director who knows how to film plot. Then you will see magic.
