Yes this movie is generic and silly. But the characters are very likable.. the CGI is excellent.. it's fun and ridiculous and funny! Even though it's not supposed to be funny.. although it seems to make fun of itself at times. I really enjoyed it.
The main characters narrowly escape death so many times.. but it's the same for pretty much every hollywood action sci-fi out there.
Nice cinematography... Fun characters and action.. ridiculous plot holes. Entertaining.
